Why This Quiet Tech Is on Our Radar
Not all energy stories are about power plants. Some are about batteries that run for decades.
On Friday's Profit Panel, the team broke down radioisotope batteries — cells that generate electricity from steady nuclear decay.
The line that stopped people in their tracks: “lasting a minimum of 20 years, and some of them a millennia.”
Why does that matter? Because thousands of devices don't need “fast charge” — they need reliable, low-maintenance power where a wall plug doesn't exist: remote sensors, defense systems, medical devices, deep-field equipment.
If those devices can sip power for decades, networks get simpler and service costs drop.
