Pursuing final-stage negotiations for acquisitions of energized data centers and strategic power land The Norway Acquisition: A 40MW+ Renewable Foundation A few days later the company executed an exclusive heads of agreement to acquire an energized and operational 40MW+ data center infrastructure facility in Norway, powered entirely by renewable hydroelectric energy. What makes this facility compelling on paper: ✔️ 40MW+ of operational energized capacity already in place ✔️ An additional 40MW earmarked for potential approval in 2026 ✔️ Hydropower access at a cost below $0.035/kWh ✔️ A climate-advantaged Nordic location ideal for cooling data center hardware ✔️ A 50-year land lease providing long-term operational security The facility currently operates a blockchain compute co-hosting business, but VivoPower's stated intention is to repurpose it into a Sovereign AI Hub. The transition would support Large Language Model training and inference for local and global enterprise clients seeking carbon-neutral compute. Expanding into the UAE VivoPower continued building momentum into the new year... On January 20, 2026, the company announced the execution of an agreement to acquire, develop, build, operate, and own an initial 25MW data center facility in the United Arab Emirates, secured through a long-term agreement with strategic partners. Notable aspects of the UAE deal include: ✔️ Dedicated power infrastructure access secured through the agreement ✔️ Development rights for further scaling beyond the initial 25MW ✔️ Modular facility design supporting multiple high-value, power-intensive digital infrastructure use cases ✔️ Alignment with the UAE's long-term digital economy objectives Executive Chairman and CEO Kevin Chin described the UAE as "a highly strategic market for VivoPower," citing its leadership in digital infrastructure and energy transition. Securing a Foothold in Finland Just two days after the UAE announcement, VivoPower made another move. On January 22, 2026, the company entered into a definitive agreement to acquire OGDC Pte Ltd, an AI data center infrastructure developer with an economic interest in strategic powered land across Finland and other EU countries. Through the acquisition, VivoPower would secure an economic interest in 291MW of strategic land across Finland, expected to be grid-connected within 12 months. Finland offers natural advantages for AI data center operations, including its cold climate, secure infrastructure, and supportive government policies. Key transaction highlights include: ✔️ 291MW of powered land ready for AI data centers, including high-security sites ✔️ Renewable hydropower access at sub-4¢ per kWh, providing a competitive edge for high-density AI training and inference ✔️ Advancing discussions with operators and global Tier-1 hyperscalers already underway As part of the deal, OGDC's co-founders — bringing a combined 75+ years of institutional real estate and infrastructure experience — are expected to join VivoPower's leadership team to help spearhead the AI data center infrastructure rollout.
