Good Morning! That’s a wrap on Porsche Parade for us. Once I hit send this morning, we’ll pack up and head home. It was great meeting so many SML subscribers and talking Porsche over the last few days. Now it’s time to get back home, catch up on a mountain of emails, and get back to our regularly scheduled programming. |

For 1975, the 911 Carrera 2.7 remained Porsche’s top naturally aspirated 911 and was available in both Coupe and Targa body styles. European-market cars retained the legendary 210-horsepower mechanically fuel-injected engine derived from the 1973 Carrera RS, while U.S. cars received Bosch CIS fuel injection and produced 165 horsepower to meet tightening emissions regulations. Although the American cars gave up a significant amount of performance, both versions shared the Carrera’s distinctive styling, flared rear fenders, and sporting character, making them among the most desirable G-body 911s today. |
This 1975 911 Carrera Targa 5-Speed was one of just 174 examples imported to the U.S. for the model year and came finished in Peru Red with Gold Carrera script over a Cinnamon leatherette interior. Showing 59,000 miles, it had been thoughtfully upgraded with a lowered suspension, Bilstein dampers, and Turbo tie rods, while the engine was rebuilt in 2018 with Carrera-style chain tensioners, 9.5:1 JE pistons, and WebCams camshafts. More recent work included a fuel system overhaul, CDI replacement, valve adjustment, oil change, and air box repair. A well-serviced example in one of the best color combinations I’ve seen. |
Over the past twelve months, only one other 1975 Carrera Targa has crossed the online auction block, a 68,000-mile example finished in Black with Gold Carrera script that sold for $95,000 back in February. Our Spotlight Car, with its outstanding Peru Red over Cinnamon color combination and extensive service history, bettered that result, hammering at a final bid of $120,000. |

In a few short years, we have thousands of members contributing info and ideas that can’t be found anywhere else. Our members are proving to be highly creative and innovative. We already have one of the largest Porsche-specific 3D-printer file collections on the Internet, all free, along with DIY projects, Porsche technical info, and test procedures. We are home to the popular 3D-printed 944 Timing Belt Tension tool, color-matched mode dial covers for modern Porsches, and a whole new breed of no-drill license plate mounts. Or come check out our DIY guide for making your own 718 PSE exhaust controller for well under $50! |
Carpokes is a positive and friendly place for everyone to discuss Porsches, from first-time owners to lifetime diehards. Wherever you fall on that spectrum, you’ll be welcomed with open arms. NOTEWORTHY SALES (AND NO-SALES) |

This 2000 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet 6-Speed came finished in Rain Forest Green Metallic with a color-matched hard top over a Savannah Beige interior and showed 93,000 miles on the clock. It was a very nice example with Full Leather and featured a big service in 2025 that included the replacement of the IMS bearing with an LN Engineering kit. It previously sold back in February of 2025 at a final bid of $25,599, but topped that number with a final bid of $31,000 this time around thanks to all that recent work.
Of the six 997.2 Targa 4S that have crossed the block in the past twelve months, only one was equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission. This 2009 911 Targa 4S is the second such example and came finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over a Stone Grey Full Leather interior and showed 48k on the odometer. Had this been a PDK-equipped car, I would have expected bids somewhere around $75,000. But there’s always a bump for 6-speeds, and this one hammered at $102,000.
Finished in Black over a Black leather interior with Lizard Green Alcantara, this 2019 911 GT3 RS showed 6,000 miles and was equipped with PCCB brakes with Lizard Green-painted calipers, Front Axle Lift, and plenty of extra Alcantara in the interior for an original MSRP of $215,190. While comps put it in the $216-250,000 range, it easily bested those selling at a final bid of $271,000. A solid result for a non-Weissach car.

This 2017 911 Turbo S Coupe comes finished in Paint-to-Sample Gulf Blue over a Black leather interior and is optioned with Porsche’s Aerokit in High Gloss Black along with plenty of extra Carbon and Alcantara in the interior. Showing 15,891 miles on the clock, PTS comps put it in the $166-211,000 range, but I think color could push it past the current $213,000 high. Gotta love that Blue.
While we’re used to seeing Vesuvio Metallic on a 993 Carrera S, this 1997 911 Carrera 4S 6-Speed wears the color well as it was a added as a Paint-to-Sample option. Showing 56,000 km (~35k miles), this German-market example was imported into the US in 2025 and looks to be in very nice condition with hundreds of detailed photos in the gallery including paint meter readings and records. Non-PTS mileage comps sit in the $200-242,000 neighborhood, but this is another one where color should top those with ease.
I love a 40th Anniversary 996, and this 2004 911 40th Anniversary Edition 6-Speed looks to be one of the best as it comes from its original owner and shows just 14,000 miles on the odometer. It also includes the 40th Anniversary luggage set along with service records dating back to 2006 for quite the complete package. It should certainly test the current high of $70,000 set by a 30,000-mile example back in December of last year.
