Good Morning! While I don’t keep track of replica sales, I do appreciate a cool tribute like the 917 featured below. Back in my dealer days I had a Beck 550, and that was a ton of fun. I can only imagine what the 917 is like to drive down the street. |

The 958.2 Cayenne Diesel refined an already excellent formula with updated styling, improved technology, and a more powerful version of its 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 diesel. Output increased from 242 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque in the earlier 958.1 to 258 horsepower and 428 lb-ft, while also improving fuel efficiency. The result was an even better long-distance tourer with effortless torque and impressive range. Today, the diesel Cayenne has earned a loyal following among enthusiasts who appreciate its durability, towing capability, and ability to rack up miles with ease. |
This 2016 Cayenne Diesel came finished in Rhodium Silver Metallic over a Cream and Black leather interior and showed 96,000 miles. It was well equipped with the Sport, Premium Plus, Infotainment, and Anthracite Birch Interior packages, making for a nicely optioned example. It came with plenty of photos in the gallery and a clean and clear CarFax showing 21 service records, with the most recent being a June 2026 oil change. |
Over the past twelve months, Cayenne Diesel values have averaged $28,500, with a low of $14,100 and a high of $60,500 for a 19,000-mile example sold in August of last year. Most examples showing around 100,000 miles have traded in the $20,000-$30,000 range, with a handful exceeding that mark. Our Spotlight Car joined that upper group, selling at a final bid of $36,000. |

NOTEWORTHY SALES (AND NO-SALES) |

I find it a bit hard to believe that this 1970 911E Targa 5-Speed Project made it to the Noteworthy section as a no-sale instead of a sale as it came finished from the factory in Conda Green, such a great color for these. We haven’t had a LWB 2.2-liter Targa sell in the past twelve months, but with the lowest bid for a running and driving example being in the mid-$40s, the final bid of $22,800 had to have been close here. Hopefully there’s a deal to be done off the block.
There were a number of 993 Cabs that crossed the block yesterday, but this 1997 911 Carrera Cabriolet 6-Speed caught my eye as it came from its original owner, who enjoyed it for a whopping 133,000 miles. Finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over a Gray leather interior, this Cab. showed a bit of wear consistent with the miles and the seller noted the shocks and front tires were in need of replacement. It also lacked much of a service history other than the few on the CarFax. It sold at a final bid of $48,750, right in the middle of estimates.
I love the fact that after someone commented “Can’t win this car unless final bid is xxx,997!,” this 2007 911 Turbo Coupe 6-Speed started getting “997” bids, with the final bid landing at $144,997. Finished in GT Silver Metallic over a Black Full Leather interior, this 997 showed 24,000 miles on the clock and was lightly modified with some Orange vinyl graphics and PCCM+ w/Apple Car Play. Estimates put it in the $130,300 to $181,600 range. At the price it sold for, I’d say it was a bit of a bargain given 997 momentum recently.

This 917 Replica was built from a Race Car Replicas kit by the seller over the last four years with the seller stating just ~175 miles since completion. It was built using a fiberglass body shell and features a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 mated to a 996 911 6-speed transmission. It’s finished in Silver with a Martini & Rossi livery over a Red interior and is streetable as it is titled as a 1969 Porsche with a replica brand on the title. I can definitely see myself ripping this one down the streets. We’ll see how much bidders agree.
While not Paint-to-Sample, Ipanema Blue Metallic is quite rare and looks great on this 2012 911 Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet. Showing 19,000 miles, it was well optioned with roughly $17k of extras, but what’s crazy is the paint was only $710! We’ve only seen one other C4 GTS Cab. over the last twelve months, a Carrara White car with 21k miles that brought $74,000 back in January. A gallery full of photos, paint meter readings, service records, and that color could push this one close to $100k.
We’ve seen this Sand Beige 1969 912 Coupe a few times over the past few years, first hammering for $43,000 back in 2018 followed by the seller’s purchase in May of 2021 for $62,000. Since then, this 912 has been fitted with four new tires, rear brake pads along with a fluid flush, and a service in January of 2025 that included a valve adjustment, rebuilding the carburetors and distributor, and adding electronic ignition along with replacing the fuel tank hose and seal, spark plugs, generator hub and pulley, and drive belt. With all of that work, I’d expect this one to end up near the top of the LWB 912 Coupe pile, somewhere around $70k.
