Good Morning! While 718 GT4 RS values appear to be softening again, 6-Speed GT4s continue to move the other direction, as you’ll see below. I’m not surprised. The gap between the GT4 RS and the standard GT4 keeps shrinking, especially when you factor in mileage. Personally, I’d take our 4,300-mile 6-Speed GT4 and row my own gears over an almost delivery-mile GT4 RS any day. |

Designed with the weekend racer in mind, Porsche’s 968 Club Sport was a stripped down version of their 944 replacement with larger wheels, larger disc brakes, and a stiffer suspension. While it shared the same 3.0-liter engine with the standard 968, further reinforcements were installed in the engine compartment between the dampers’ towers to aid in handling. Limited to roughly 1,538 cars, we never saw the Club Sport here on our shores, making it very desirable now that they are over 25 years old. |
This 1993 968 Club Sport came finished in Speed Yellow over a Black interior and showed 72,000 km (~45k miles). We last saw this car in November 2021 when it sold for $80,000. Since then, service has included a brake fluid flush and oil change, while prior to the last sale the timing belt assembly, water pump, thermostat, spark plugs, and crankshaft seals were replaced. The gallery featured hundreds of detailed photos along with service records, presenting a well-documented example of one of Porsche’s most desirable transaxle cars. |
Over the past twelve months, only two 968 Club Sports have sold. A Black example showing 58,000 miles brought $89,600 at Broad Arrow’s Amelia sale, while a Riviera Blue car with 88,000 miles hammered online for $48,968. I’m partial to Speed Yellow, and with our Spotlight Car’s mileage and presentation, I thought it should have at least matched the Black example. The bidding never got there, however, as it failed to sell at a final bid of $68,555. |

Over the last twelve months we’ve only seen one other 2008 Boxster S Design Edition 2 6-Speed sell, a 76,000-mile example that hammered for $16,987 back in December of last year. This example shows just 10,000 miles and comes with a One-Owner CarFax along with plenty of service and a gallery full of pictures. It sold at a final bid of $46,000, setting a new high, of course.
This 2023 718 Cayman GT4 6-Speed came finished in Shark Blue over a Black leather and Race-Tex interior and showed 4,300 miles on the clock. It was well optioned with PCCB brakes, Carbon Buckets, and more for an original MSRP of $139,000. Comps put it in the $128,500 to $141,500 range, but it topped those, hammering at $159,000.
I know I featured an M491 Cab. the other day, but this one confirmed that widebodies are on the rise. Showing over the double the miles, this 1986 911 Carrera Cabriolet 5-Speed M491 came finished in Guards Red over a Champagne leather interior and showed 79,000 miles, although there was a “potential rollback” note on the CarFax. It also lacked much in the way of service records despite hundreds of photos in the gallery. That didn’t matter much, as it sold at $75,500 against a high estimate of $69,500.

This 1989 911 Carrera Cabriolet 25th Anniversary Edition is a rare example as it’s not only the first Cabriolet version we’ve seen over the last twelve months, it’s also the only one we’ve seen in Dark Blue Metallic if you include the handful of Coupes. Showing 67,800 km (~41k miles), it looks to be in very nice condition and apparently was owned by the great-grandson of Ferdinand Porsche, Gregor Anton Piech. With Coupes averaging $121,400, I’m willing to bet this one tops that.
Keeping with the “rare” theme, this is the first 2025 718 Cayman Style Edition 6-Speed I’ve featured as I only have a handful of 718 Boxsters on the books. Finished in Agate Grey Metallic over a Black and Chalk exterior, this 718 shows just 700 miles and looks every bit the low-mileage example it is. The only Boxster Style Edition I have sold at $78,000 with 965 miles. This Cayman should top it.
Wheels definitely make a car. Such is the case with this 1974 911 Targa 5-Speed which sports Gold-centered Basketweave wheels and a Copper Brown Metallic exterior. Showing 94,000 miles, this example comes out of 38 years of ownership and features a reupholstered Beige leather interior and an engine that was rebuilt in 2010 with 911S pistons and an updated timing chain tensioner kit. There’s been plenty of service since the rebuild, so expect this one to land near the top of the market in the $71,400 to $80,000 range.
