Good Morning! While yesterday’s word of the day was “Deal,” today’s is “Edition.” We’ve got several special-edition Porsches on tap, one that sold and two more now looking for new homes. The rarest of them all just happens to be a Boxster! |

The Endurance Racing Edition 911 debuted at the 2016 Le Mans 24 Hours to celebrate Porsche’s return to the top class of endurance racing and its string of overall victories with the 919 Hybrid. Limited to just 235 examples worldwide, the special edition was based on the Carrera S and came finished White, Black, and Red with a special livery inspired by the factory LMP1 race car, along with black-finished wheels, red accents, illuminated door sills, and commemorative interior trim. |
This 2017 911 Carrera S Coupe Endurance Racing Edition came finished in White with Black and Grey graphics over a Black leather interior and showed 17,000 miles. It was well optioned with the Sport and Premium Packages, PDCC, Sport Seats, and more, bringing its original MSRP to $152,365. The gallery featured plenty of detailed photos, including paint meter readings and service records, and the car appeared to be in nice condition throughout. |
Over the past twelve months, we’ve seen just two Endurance Racing Editions cross the block. The first was a Black example showing 26,000 miles and equipped with a dealer-installed X51 Power Kit that failed to sell at a final bid of $86,000 in July of last year. That was followed by a 50,500-mile example that also failed to sell, topping out at $79,000 in May. Our Spotlight Car, showing fewer miles, had no trouble surpassing those bids, hammering at a final bid of $98,500. |

I was eager to see what this 1964 356SC Coupe would bring with its repaint in a modern Porsche color. The body was stripped and completely refinished in White Gold Metallic with the interior restored with Tan leather and Beige square-weave carpeting. The listing doesn’t say whether the original engine was rebuilt at the time of restoration, but it has seen plenty of recent service. The auction ended with a final bid of $74,999, but as of this writing, it’s still “processing.” That bid is on the low end of the $74-113,400 estimate, so we’ll see what happens here, hopefully by the time you’re reading this.
This 1974 914 2.0 came out of 42 years of ownership and looked really nice in Bahia Red, although I’m not too sure I’m feeling the Red and Silver 15” wheels. The interior was very cool with Black vinyl and multicolor cloth seat inserts and it looked to have been cared for during those 42 years with the engine rebuilt in 1987 and again in 1995. It sold at a final bid of $31,500, right up near the top of the $31,900 high estimate.
The last time we saw this 1958 356A Speedster was back in September of 2025 when it sold at a final bid of $400,000. The car previously underwent a comprehensive restoration, came refinished in its original shade of Silver Metallic over a Red interior with Coupe bucket seats, and had its original engine, which was rebuilt under prior ownership. It sold this time around at the exact same number it brought last time, $400k.

We don’t get too many of these 2023 911 Targa 4 GTS Edition 50 Years Porsche Designs with just two crossing the block in the last twelve months. Both initially failed to sell at bids in the $190k range, with one eventually finding a home post-auction at just over $200k. This example is one of the 750 produced and has the highest mileage of any we’ve seen at 6,582. We’ll see how close it gets to those ~$190k cars with a few thousand more miles.
While not totally a Porsche, this 1991 Courage Cougar C26S with a twin-turbocharged 935 engine was just too cool not to include today. Making its race debut in 1984, it went on to run the 24 Hours of Le Mans five times, running its final 24 in 1989 under Porsche power. According to the seller, the car is now eligible to run in many events such as the Le Mans Classic along with HSR events here in the states. But to do that you’re going to have to get it over here, as it currently resides in Petersfield, UK. No clue where this one will end as I have 0 comps. But I’ll be following it!
We’ve got a bunch of “Design” Editions today with this 2008 Boxster S Design Edition 2 6-Speed up next. While 500 were produced worldwide, just 50 came to the North American market making this one of the rarer Boxsters. Finished in Carrara White with Light Gray stripes over a Black Full Leather interior, this example shows 10,000 miles on the clock, which is 66,000 less than the only other sale we’ve seen over the past twelve months, which hammered at $16,987. North of $50k, maybe even $60k with these miles wouldn’t surprise me.
