  Inside: This Week in Innovation
This week, energy and environment editor Adam Aston profiles Majora Carter, head of Majora Carter Group, a green-collar economic consulting firm. Carter is one of our "Voices of Innovation," a continuing series that follows the work of innovative thinkers, entrepreneurs, and designers. Senior writer Jessie Scanlon reported on Pop!Tech, an annual think fest, and has made plans with conference executives to start an online social network for attendees and others to collaborate year-round. And columnist Sami Mahroum, a research director at Britain's National Endowment for Science, Technology & the Arts, makes the case for governments to increase--not cut--their innovation spending in these uncertain times.
