ORLANDO, Fla. (December 29, 2009) Day three of preliminary games concludes at the US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (US Youth Soccer ODP) Super Group at Disney's Soccer Showcase in Orlando, Fla.

As the teams completed the final day of prelims, players were focused and playing at their best to compete not only for the highest possible seed in tomorrow's championship games, but also to display their talent to the numerous college coaches who are in attendance. US Youth Soccer ODP is known as the premier identification and development program for the nation's youth seeking the opportunity to compete at the national, professional and collegiate levels of play. US Youth Soccer ODP is the original Olympic development program and the only elite player development program that can claim members of Major League Soccer as well as a majority of current and past national and youth team members, as alumni.

1993 Boys
The Region I and Region II Boys squared off in a back and forth affair on the final day as both lobbied for the top seed in the 1993 group. Despite some excellent midfield play from Region II, Region I scored the lone goal of the game in the 34 th minute when Luis Rendon Alba scored his second goal of the tournament. After Alba was taken down for a direct kick 22 yards from goal, he stepped up and delivered a laser into the side net giving Region I the victory.

Region IV earned their first victory of the week today as they knocked off Region III 2-0. In the 34 th minute, Jeremy Williams beat his defender on the right side of the box and finished nicely to give Region IV a 1-0 lead at halftime. After a nice build up in the 72 nd minute, Orellana Maikon fed the ball to Tanner Williams who took a touch and hit a shot past the onrushing keeper to cap off the game in favor of Region IV.

In the 1993 Boys, Region I finished preliminary play with a 2-0-1 record to earn the number one seed and they will face second seed Region IV (1-1-1) tomorrow in a rematch from their 1-1 draw on day one. Region III will face Region II as both teams finished with 1-2 records. Region III won the first match 3-1.

1994 Boys
In 1994 Boys action, Region III and Region II were both fighting for their first win of the week. Both teams had several chances to take the lead, but it was Region III that finally broke through nine minutes after halftime when Edvaldo Pedro grabbed his second goal of the week as he headed in a corner kick gaving Region III the 1-0 victory.

In a highly anticipated matchup between two undefeated 1994 teams, Region IV put Region I under pressure all day before leaving with a 1-0 win. Just before the halftime whistle, Mikhail Doholis received the ball and flicked it over a defender's head before feeding Aaron Caprio on a through run. Caprio's shot was blocked by the onrushing Region I keeper, but Matt Gay out-jumped his defender to head the rebound into an open net and keep Region IV perfect with the 1-0 win. Region IV has yet to concede a goal in their three games and have scored eight earning the top seed in the 1994 group.

Tomorrow's matches had already been decided heading into today’s games as Region IV and Region I were both 2-0 and will rematch tomorrow as Region I tries to avenge their only loss of the week. Region III and Region II both entered today 0-2, and Region II will try to grab their first win tomorrow after giving Region III their first win today.
