Yup, it's Griff again from Blues Guitar Unleashed
You may remember my 4 note solo video a while back. One of the things I really tried to get across in that video is the idea of having fun while you play, and not struggling so much.
I tried to keep that solo fairly easy to play, and obviously there's not a whole lot of notes to work with there.
There's still the whole thing though of having to have a jam track or someone else to play with.
Sometimes, it's just not possible. Or you really just want to hang out on your own back porch and play your guitar. And it would be nice to not work too hard and just have some fun with it.
So I call today's video, "Playing On The Porch." You may have seen it before... and even if you have it wouldn't hurt to play it again.
This is a really fun way to work on nearly all of the fundamental skills you need as a guitar player... timing, chords, and single note playing. Plus, you get the blues "call and response" thing going on.
Most of my students have so much fun with this video that I end up writing out several more of them over the ensuing weeks!
So have fun with this and we'll talk soon,
Griff
PS - By popular demand I've had more bonus DVDs and CDs made. Get 'em while they're hot!
