Auténtico INC Street Food
Latin street food, without the street

948 Canton St; Roswell; 770.998.3114

Food trucks produce some delicious and surprisingly gourmet
dishes, but they have their problems: you never know where
they're gonna be, and once you finally catch up with one,
dammit -- they're out of Rocket Pops again! For one sans
soft serve that's guaranteed never to move, hit Auténtico
INC Street Food.

Opening today, INC's a Latin street cuisine sanctum dishing
tacos, stews, and further succulentness prepped in an actual
converted, half food truck (complete with giant, open
serving window) they built into the front of their kitchen,
surrounded by a wall-length red/black banquette, a metal bar
w/ lightbulbs inside wire cages, and a graffiti mural
featuring multi-colored skyscrapers, a sexy afro'd bikini
babe, and a red grandfather clock, which will sit you down,
pull quarters from behind your ears, and tell you it's time
for bed. Commence stuffing yourself with cactus & yucca
fries (w/ chipotle pico & Latin remoulade) or Salvadoran
chicken pupusa (chicken-/queso-stuffed grilled white
corn-masa), then move on to three-taco plates ranging from
the standard-ish chili-rubbed skirt steak (w/ slaw, pickled
carrots, chipotle crema) to more-adventurous BBQ octopus or
veal cheek, which was lovingly pinched by that clock right
before getting grilled on where it was going to college.
Further Latin specialties include the Sonoran hot dog
(bacon-wrapped, w/ black beans, cucumber slaw, queso & chili
lime mayo), Cuban sammies, and stews like the red mole con
carne (braised beef, corn-masa dumplings & Oaxacan mole
sauce), and the shrimp, calamari, scallops, mussels, potato,
tomato, corn-on-the-cob, and coconut-milk "Brazilian-Style",
which goes through that pain every couple weeks just to keep
you happy, and you'd damn well better appreciate it.

Cause they read somewhere that people like to drink, INC's
got 'ritas (e.g., Tres Chiles, w/ Thatcher's liqueur &
jalapeno candy), 34 tequilas, Dos Equis Lager & Amber on
draft, and bottles like Abita Purple Haze, Presidente, and
Spain's Estrella Damm -- the same thing you say after
finally catching up with your other favorite food truck, and
realizing it's out of King Kones.

If you don't do the sauce, there're also "Aguas Frescas"
like hibiscus, rice/cinnamon, tamarind, and coconut-infused
waters for your virgin thirst. Now go on and click here to
see the menu before anybody else.
