Metropolis St. Louis Pub Walk
Thursday, August 5
Soulard!
Join us this Thursday, August 5, for a Pub Walk in Soulard!
Historic Soulard is located just south of Downtown St. Louis. The neighborhood gets its name from Antoine Soulard, a Frenchman who surveyed the area for the King of Spain. It is one of the oldest parts of the city with homes dating from the 1800s. In addition to the history, Soulard is known for the community of establishments and celebrations.
Hope to see you there joining in the fun!
6:30p.m. – 8:00p.m.
The Shanti
825 Allen Avenue
314.241.4772
The Shanti is a truly laid-back kind of home/bar; there's a jukebox, plenty of plastic palm trees, strings of lights and enough tchotchkes to make any decent garage sale jealous. The famous outdoor courtyard hosts warm-weather fun and cool-weather fire pits. There's plenty of food, and if you get there early (before 7p.m.), you'll enjoy Happy Hour prices.
8:00p.m. – 9:30p.m.
Llywelyn's Pub
1732 S. 9th
314.436.3255
Llywelyn's is a true Celtic Pub serving up Welsh cuisine and world class spirits. It's Irish Night at Llywelyn's! $3 Guinness, $3 Feckin Irish Whiskey, $5 Car Bombs. There's plenty of Irish pub food and appetizers as well. Celtic for good times!
9:30p.m. - ?
Big Daddy's
1000 Sidney St.
314.771.3066
Nestled in the shadows of the A-B Brewery, on the south end of Soulard, Big Daddy's offers a little bit of everything for you! The downstairs bar features a DJ spinning the latest music on Thursday, and ice cold beers and tasty appetizers make it a great place to kick back. Word has it the Bartender Challenge is also taking place, and there will be drink specials to enjoy. The inviting outdoor patio and second upstairs bar give the venue range and summer charm.
