Cambridge food truck goes brick-and-mortar

At some point in every man's life, he must make a choice: stay free-wheeling and always on the move, or let Tommy Lee Jones throw you in prison. Cleverly choosing both to ensure your satiety's no fugitive, Clover Harvard Square, now open.
The first of at least two planned brick-and-mortar spots from the C'bridge-based food-truck mavens, CHSQ slings an ever-expanding locavore-friendly breakfast/lunch lineup in a freshly renovated stark white high-ceiling'd 96-seat space minimally outfitted w/ a red brick floor, upstairs loft overlooking an enormous 22-seat communal red oak tree-trunk table, and a rear wall covered with live ivy planted in a "symbolic nod to the 'hood", which historically had nothing but boyz in it. Lunch faves include Middle Eastern-esque sammies like fried eggplant/sliced egg topped with tomato & cucumber salad, and tahini-drizzled chickpea fritters with hummus and pickled cabbage/onion, as well as a more Western-flavored BBQ Seitan on pita, though it easily could've gone on PETA. To kickstart the A.M., there's lighter deliciousness like granola w/ yogurt, an egg breakfast sammie topped w/ sliced tomato and cheddar, oatmeal mixed w/ apple compote, and even popovers, which will only frustrate you when they refuse to come over late night no matter how sexy the text.
If you'd just prefer drinks & snacks, CHS's rockin' Guatemalan coffee brewed at 205 degrees Fahrenheit, tarragon and mulled spice sodas, and Hibiscus iced tea to wash down their special deep-fried cider apple fritter balls and rosemary & sea salted fries -- get 'em all, you can af-Ford it.
