 | NEW YORK (UPI) -- The U.S. dollar was mixed Tuesday after central banks in Australia and India raised lending rates to ward off inflation.
The Reserve Bank of Australia raised its cash rate 0.25 percentage points to 4.75 percent. In Reserve Bank of India raised its short-term lending rate 25 basis points to 5.25 percent, its sixth rate hike this year.

The firm said 95 percent of the computer tablets shipped in the third quarter were Apple devices, The Wall Street Journal reported.
Devices that use Google's Android operating system, which includes a variety of manufacturers, currently make up 2 percent of the tablets shipped, the firm said.
