Thought Convergence has just opened the registration for their conference, Domain Roundtable, which will be held from March 1st to 4th, 2011 at The Atlantis Hotel on Paradise Island in the Bahamas. The first 100 registrants will receive a free pass for one Atlantis activity during the afternoon of the first day of the event. The registration rates are:

  • $695 Early Bird (before Jan 12th)
  • $795 Conference Rate (before Feb 2nd)
  • $895 Late Conference Rate (before March 1st)
  • $995 On-Site Registration

The activities the first 100 registrants can choose from are:

  • Atlantis' Behind the Scenes Aquarium Tour
  • Catamaran Snorkel & Sail Adventure
  • Cigar and Rum Tasting
  • Deep Sea Fishing
  • Nassau Shopping Shuttle

The event will also feature a live auction, run by the Aftermarket.com division. Submissions are being accepted until the 21st of January 2011.

.NG Registry Registers 2nd Level Domain

ThisDay.NG URL ScreenShotDespite the limitation of registrations to the 3rd level, it appears that the ccTLD registry (NIRA – Nigeria Internet Registration Association) for the Nigerian .NG TLD has made an exception and allowed for the registration of ThisDay.ng by the publisher of the local newspaper that has used ThisDayOnline.info to date. The site states under the new domain states that it will be launched on January 3rd, 2011.

GoDaddy Passes 45 million Domain Registrations

According to a note sent by GoDaddy staff to press, yesterday at 6:02pm M.T., The Go Daddy Group, led by flagship registrar GoDaddy.com, now manages more than 45 million domain names on the Internet. GoDaddy is the world’s largest domain name registrar and employs nearly 2,900 people.

Currently, Go Daddy is registering, renewing or transferring a domain name every eight-tenths of a second. The company is larger than eight of its closest competitors combined.
