S.Korea December jobless at 3.5 percent SEOUL (UPI) -- South Korea's December jobless rate stood at 3.5 percent, unchanged year-on-year but up from 3 percent in November, the government said Wednesday. The announcement came even as the number of new jobs surged due to rising private-sector hiring, Yonhap news agency reported.
