Hang: Colorado's Lost Resorts Poster
This just-released, vintage-looking beige map highlights "those ski hills where tow ropes or lifts once turned, but no longer", including Arapahoe East (founded by the guy behind A-Basin and then closed in '84), Magic Mountain (which pioneered snowmaking in the state and was only open in '58-'59) and Hidden Valley, which was closed in '91, baby carrots not having been invented until the following winter.
Throw this baby up on the wall of your rental for the winter, at shopcoloardoski.com

Eat: Modmarket
1000 S Colorado Blvd #101; Glendale; 303.757.1772
The Market's just now bringing their "fast food that's good for you" to Denver (like an herb roasted chicken/ red basil pesto/ tomato/ provolone/ greens sandwich and the prosciutto/ arugula/ olive oil/ pear/ Gorgonzola "La Querceria" pizza) in an ultra-green shop lit by a series of solar tubes and filled with tables made from reclaimed beetle-kill wood, which unlike Beetle Juice wood, stays rigid even in scenes without Catherine O'Hare's sexy conga lining.
Check Mod's new seasonal menu before you grab a bite there, here

Rock: Snowball Music Fest
March 4th-6th; 1 Lake St; Avon
Picking up the indie-rock slack since the loss of Monolith at Red Rocks, this massive Vail party'll host big names like DJ/ Blackberry commercial star Diplo and neo-hippies Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes, as well as small-but-goodies like sample-heavy local outfit Pretty Lights, Local Natives, and SF's Bassnectar, named either for the viscous oily coating of fresh water fish, or the viscous, oily coating of Gene Simmons.
Get your 3-day pass and head to Vail, here

Drink: Frost Bar
16 Vail Road; Vail; 970.477.8130
Now open in Vail's freshly renovated Sebastian resort, this lounge-y, ice-shingled, mountain-side cocktailer's slinging tapas (like lamb croquettes and tuna/ wasabi aioli/ avocado/ seaweed salad sliders) alongside 60+ single malts (Glenmorangie 25 year, Glenfiddich 21), and a weighty specialty cocktail menu (highlighted by the vodka/ crème de banana/ hot choc/whipped cream "Chocolate Banana") which they refer to as their "soul warming drinks", easily confusable with soul coughing drinks, as they'll have you walking around in circles...then falling off the mezzanine.

Down & Shirty: J.A.C.H.S. @ JackThreads
Our Bro-Magnon men at JT're slashing prices on Just A Cheap Shirt button-downs, from the Western-style Mechanic Denim, to the red & blue Small Check, to the black/grey/white Killer Plaid, better than the Killers Plaid, as those haven't been cool since When You Were Young.
What's so important that you can't save yourself some loot at JackThreads.com?
