Just opened in a former tanning salon after a year of work, this rustic Highpoint joint is serving up drinks/eats sourced from (wait for it!) hyper-local mostly West Seattle producers; options include snacks (salted/spiced Chard Chips), soups (Butternut Squash), sandwiches (Horseradish Pulled Pork) and a braised cabbage/white beans Pasta Gratin-style mac and cheese, plus area nano-brews like Odin's Ruby and Georgetown 9lb Hammer, which at today's exchange rate is about $13.95 more than M.C. has right now.

From the guy behind the Market's Pike & Western wine shop, this 1600sqft former NAPA Auto Parts boasts a six-seat tasting bar, a private event space, as well as both high-end and value vinos from the Old World (France, Germany, Austria, etc.) and regional grape-ness from Washington and Oregon, both of which are also bowl winne...wait, a last-second field goal? Oh, well, one of which is a bowl winner.

Developed by a PDX/Seattle crew, this still in beta Jobs-Phone app aggregates tweets/info from local bars/restos, displaying them either in real time or via map view, plus there're filter options that include "Happy Hour", "Ladies Night", and "No Cover" -- though why you'd want to go to a bar with just 'hawks CB Kelly Jennings is anyone's guess.
