Calgary has won three straight games for the first time since late October. Kostopoulos and Jarome Iginla scored 42 seconds apart early in the middle period and Jackson added a goal with 6:37 left in the stanza. Miikka Kiprusoff stopped all 15 shots he saw through the first two periods, and then gave up goals to Daniel Winnik and Tomas Fleischmann in the third. Fleischmann's score came with 2:32 remaining. Colorado has lost four of its last five games. Craig Anderson stopped 20 shots in taking the loss. Citing sources it did not identify, the newspaper said San Francisco will be picked, although no formal announcement has been made -- and a spokeswoman for the event, speaking on the record, said "no decision has been made." Spokeswoman Stephanie Martin said "no city has been ruled out," the Chronicle reported. Other cities, including Newport, R.I., have been in the running for the 2013 regatta -- an event the newspaper said generates more economic benefit than any other international sporting event except for the Olympics and the World Cup. The agreement to hold the race in San Francisco Bay calls for organizers to pay $55 million to upgrade city-owned piers, among other things, the Chronicle said.
