Sports Update For Indiana Tuesday January 11, 2011 | | Baseball Bosox sign reliever Okajima to 1-year deal BOSTON (UPI) -- The Boston Red Sox said Monday they have signed relief pitcher Hideki Okajima to a one-year contract. Okajima has compiled a 16-8 record with a 3.06 ERA over 254 games in four major league seasons, all with the Red Sox. Last year he went 4-4 with a 4.50 earned run average in 56 appearances, allowing 23 earned runs over 46 innings. The 35-year-old was named an American League all-star in his first season with the Bosox in 2007, helping them to the World Series title that year. Kulemin scored on the rebound of a Mikhail Grabovski shot 5 minutes into the final frame and the Leafs got through a 6-on-4 Kings onslaught in the final minute to emerge with their fourth straight road win. Darryl Boyce and Phil Kessel found the net for Toronto and rookie goaltender James Reimer raised his career record to 3-1 since being called up from the minors, stopping 30-of-32 shots.
