Cape Town StartupDigest - February 28, 2011

Cape Town StartupDigest
With the Cricket World Cup and Super Rugby starting to fill the weekends, here are a couple of events that you might want to fill your week with. From speakers at UCT to the first digital Cowboys for 2011 and a SCRUM event, I'm sure you'll find something worth going to. Don't forget the casual Bootstrappers Breakfast over in the wine lands to end the week off with a bit of networking and mingling.

Cape Town StartupDigest is curated by:

Digital Cowboys is coming round again and they have booked James Robertson from Effective Measure to come and give us a short presentation on what they do. (+ of course there's the free beer and wine.)

The Cost of SCRUM

Agile and Scrum promises many benefits to organisations willing to adopt this new way of working; improved predictability, better quality, time to market and so on. What is sometimes not so clear is what the cost of implementing Scrum can be. Marius de Beer, an experienced Agile coach with leading Agile consultancy Scrum Sense, will discuss his experience of what some of the challenges are that organisations face in adopting Scrum. He will share the stage with Alwyn van Wyk.

Bootstrappers Breakfast

Where: Seidelberg Wine Estate

The Second "Bootstrappers" gathering of early stage entrepreneurs. This time a breakfast in the wine lands, these events offer a relaxed environment to connect with others in startups and remember why we live in the Western Cape.
