It's yet another lovely morning in the frosty streets of our beloved city! This week, I have an awesome rumor to pass on: something great is going to happen in the evening of March 21st, so be sure to mark the date down in your calendar!
If you're looking to join the Uutisraivaaja Competition, there's still two days to go before the first round of the contest closes.
This week, we've got a series of startups presenting who they are, where they came from and what they're doing. There's also some startup breakfasts in Otaniemi, and a pitching event for those looking to get funded.

Startup Breakfast at Dffany's
Where: Aalto Venture Garage (Betonimiehenkuja 3 D, Otaniemi)
When: Tuesday March 1st and Thursday March 3rd, 2011 8:30 to 10:00
The folks at Aaltoes & Design Factory arrange an awesome breakfast every Tuesday and Thursday morning at Aalto Garage. It's a great place to kickstart your day with the local startup/design/tech community, while getting to know new people or meeting with old acquaintances.
Startups Studio with Jalo Helsinki
Where: Aalto Venture Garage (Betonimiehenkuja 3 D, Otaniemi)
When: Wednesday March 2nd, 2011 18:00 to 19:00
Startups Studio is a casual networking event, organized every Wednesday 6 PM by Aaltoes. This week's Startups Studio features Jalo Helsinki, who're bringing design smoke alarms to the European market in mid-2011. Although their team consists of just four students from Aalto, they've got their own factory in China and they've been running around Europe for the past few months to find the necessary contacts. Come hear their story!
Automation Startups Evening by Aaltoes & AS (in Finnish)
Where: Aalto Venture Garage (Betonimiehenkuja 3 D, Otaniemi)
When: Friday March 4th, 2011 17:00 to 19:00
If you're interested in startups with automation related technologies, this is the place for you to be! The event features ZenRobotics, Eniram, Agaidi and Vilant RFID share their experiences from the field.
40th Money Talks
Where: Technopolis Innopoli 1 (Tekniikantie 12, Espoo)
When: Thursday March 10th, 2011 15:00 to 17:00
MoneyTalks is a pitching/networking event for early-stage tech startups looking to get funded. Its audience consists of venture capitalists, business angels, public financiers and corporate M&A representatives. Registration for pitching is already closed, but I'm sure you can find a way in if you're entrepreneurial enough!
