Good morning Helsinki startups!
This week, we finally open the registration for our much anticipated Talk of the Year, Finland Post Welfare. More about the event below (including registration, which starts TODAY AT 9 A:M!) but I would like to take a moment to share some stats with you; the website for the event has so far seen unexpected traffic of thousands of visitors and over 500 attendees limit was broken in mere few hours after the launch. Our assumptions have definitely been validated and there exists a need for an outlet like this - now we turn to you to co-create the movement with us.
Aaltoes is cooperating with fellow student organizations and other actors to make meaningful support for growth entrepreneurship a nation-wide hot topic. We are looking for views and comments from all sides - feel free to participate by sending questions to our panelists via me. Additionally, as this is a Big Project & quite strenuous for our small non-profit organization, we are looking for sponsoring partners as well.
In other news, there is still a good week to apply for Aaltoes’ Win A Date with A VC, i.e. private pitching session arranged with some of Finland’s top tiers on March 22nd.

IGDA Finland March Gathering with Remedy

Where: Sulake Auditorium (Korkeavourenkatu 35, Helsinki), later Cuba Bar (Erottaja, Helsinki)
The IGDA Finland March Gathering is sponsored by Remedy who will deliver a presentation called “Alan Wake, the writer who made us rewrite our engine” -wow. Later on, drinks and Death Rally testing at Cuba.
Crowdfunding
Where: Hub Helsinki (Annankatu 31-33C, Helsinki)
When: Wednesday, March 9, 17:00-18:00
This is an information evening about crowdfunding in Finland organized by HUB Helsinki. Come with your questions and hear the latest update from Hub Helsinki's crowdfunding.
40th Money Talks
Where: Technopolis Innopoli 1 (Tekniikantie 12, Espoo)
When: Thursday, March 10, 15:00 to 17:00
MoneyTalks is a pitching/networking event for early-stage tech startups looking to get funded. Its audience consists of venture capitalists, business angels, public financiers and corporate M&A representatives.
Android Developer Seminar
When: Tuesday, March 22
Where: TBA
The topics of this seminar will include a number of topics, including Integration with Android Applications, Android OS Customization, and Contractual View on Android Market. Sounds awesome, we’re looking forward to this!
