'Batman' Alfred portrayer Gough dead at 94

LOS ANGELES (UPI) -- Malaysian-born actor Michael Gough, best known for his portrayal of butler Alfred in four Batman movies, died Thursday, his family said. He was 94.

E! News confirmed Gough's death, but did not report the cause of it or where it occurred.

Aronofsky won't direct 'Wolverine' film

LOS ANGELES (UPI) -- U.S. director Darren Aronofsky has announced he will not direct a "Wolverine" sequel as planned because of the lengthy time commitment it required.

Aronofsky was nominated for an Oscar this year for helming "Black Swan." His other film credits include "The Wrestler," "Requiem for a Dream" and "The Fountain," which featured Hugh Jackman, the star of the "Wolverine" superhero franchise.

Swift to voice a character in 'Lorax'

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. (UPI) -- U.S. country music star Taylor Swift has joined the voice cast of the upcoming animated film, "Dr. Seuss' The Lorax," Universal Pictures said Thursday.

Co-starring Danny DeVito, Ed Helms, Zac Efron, Rob Riggle and Betty White, the big-screen adaptation of the classic children's book is slated for release next March 2.

'Jackass' is top-selling DVD in U.S.

LOS ANGELES (UPI) -- The outrageous-stunt movie "Jackass 3" is the top-selling DVD in the United States, Rentrak reported Thursday.

Coming in at No. 2 on the DVD sales chart for the week ending March 13 is "Megamind," followed by "Due Date" at No. 3, "The Next Three Days" at No. 4 and "The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season" at No. 5.

Rounding out the top tier are "Faster" at No. 6, "Burlesque" at No. 7, the "Megamind Double Pack" at No. 8, "Morning Glory" at No. 9 ...
