Report: Lohan warming to plea bargain

LOS ANGELES (UPI) -- The looming prospect of prison time apparently has actress Lindsay Lohan on the verge of taking a plea deal, sources tell TMZ.com.

The entertainment industry Web site said Sunday that sources close to the California actress say she is beginning to have doubts she can beat the felony rap for allegedly tying to steal a $2,500 necklace from a Los Angeles jeweley store.

Suit against Dr. Dre dismissed

DETROIT (UPI) -- The Michigan Supreme Court has dismissed a lawsuit filed by several Detroit police officers against hip hop artist and producer Dr. Dre.

The lawsuit grew out of a backstage confrontation at a 2000 concert featuring Dr. Dre and Eminem, WEYI-TV, Saginaw, Mich., reported Sunday.

Lynda Carter likes new Wonder Woman duds

LOS ANGELES (UPI) -- Television's "Wonder Woman" had rave reviews for the latest version of the super heroine's costume during its official unveiling in Los Angeles.

Lynda Carter told The Hollywood Reporter that Adrianne Palicki looked "gorgeous" in the skin-tight ensemble designed for the upcoming television series.

"What's not to like," Carter said. "Adrianne looks gorgeous and I'm really looking forward to seeing David E. Kelley's new series."

Next Batman film has mobster villian

HOLLYWOOD (UPI) -- The next Batman movie will star Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the role of villain Alberto Falcone, also known as The Holiday Killer, sources told Variety.

No formal announcement has been made, but Variety said Sunday that director Chris Nolan had decided to forgo the standard comic book super villain and go with something more realistic for "The Dark Knight Rises."
