Sensor Fusion Technology Takes Center Stage at GeckoSystems' Robotics Conference


Did you know that when humans are able to smell smoke, or can tell what a person is saying across the room by simply reading lips, that they are taking part in sensor fusion? Though the term may not ring a bell, you most likely use it every day in situations that provoke awareness through the five senses.


Turns out sensor fusion is in fact fusing its way into robotics, as it will be the focus of GeckoSystems Intl. Corp’s upcoming third annual “Mobile Robots in Motion” conference being held April 13 to 14. GeckoSystems, a leader in the breakout mobile robotics industry, is hosting the event for the purpose of demonstrating Geckolmager, the newly developed sensor fusion-based vision system.
