Man Up: Tough Mudder
May 7-8th at Mt Snow Resort: 39 Mount Snow Rd; West Dover, VT
Billed as one of the "toughest events on the planet", TM's a 10mi military-styled obstacle course set on a Vermont ski hill that tests your endurance/strength/sanity by requiring you to engage in over 22 challenges that range from the traditional (running through mud-filled tires, crawling under wire/cargo nets, climbing walls) to the slightly more extreme (darting through a blazing fire of kerosene-soaked straw and crossing a field of live electrical wires); all of which usually takes 2.5hrs and culminates with a beer-infused post party, where they'll be giving away gratis head shaves/mohawks, prizes for the best/worst costumes, and even free tattoos -- so consider getting one on your thigh, as a nice Memento.
