30 Ways We've Helped Wounded Warriors

#30: Knott's Berry Farm Trip

Last November, Purple Heart Family Support took a group of wounded warriors to
a theme park called Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, California.

The park gives free admission to Veterans every November, but Marine Parents and
PHFS collected donations online from supporters to cover the costs of travel and
food.

The annual trip is a great way to treat them to a day of fun and laughter - one
to remember for a lifetime. It gives them an opportunity to get out in the sunshine,
bond with one another and forget their injuries.

Events like these are what Purple Heart Family Support is all about. It means so
much to these Marines to know that people care about them and are supporting them.
The $25,000 grant will help ensure that we can continue to provide the support and
care these wounded warriors need.
