Inspired by a European vacation, here's a restaurant as big as Beverly D'Angelo, or even just D'Angelo: Princi Italia, a bright, mostly naturally lit space designed by Jones Baker Architects (Meddlesome Moth, Meso Maya) as a modern take on a farmhouse spied by Sfuzzi's Patrick Colombo on family trip to Tuscany -- a look completed with wooden chandeliers, wood-beamed vaulted ceilings, a kitchen fronted by a limestone facade, and a wall of wine, the Whining Wall being where the Real Housewives of Jerusalem kvetch about the other Real Housewives of Jerusalem.

Say friggin' hello to Dallas's first roving "friggitoria", Gennarino's: a proudly blue & white truck serving fare common to Napoli piazzas but otherwise hard to track down even in Italy, hand-painted with hometown symbols like Pulcinella (an archetypal figure in Neapolitan theater), Vesuvius (the volcano immortalized in...a Sufjan Stevens song!), and San Gennaro (the patron saint of Naples, who protects against Vesuvius, but not Sufjan Stevens).

Complete with a patio and two bars (one sporting 88 taps between parallel 15ft bartops), this Chi-based tavern hangs opulent photos from the co-owner/ designer's private parties on bare brick walls, and complements reclaimed TX woods with semicircular leather booths, softly illuminating everything with naked bulbs encased in wire lingerie that hopefully makes you think of Cedric Daniels and Rhonda Pearlman doing it.

The first-time venture of a pair of food-loving friends (one the wife of a Yummilicious partner), this 30-seater ushers traditional Vietnamese into a gently modern setting, with crimson accents, artistic imitation branches, and an inset, softly lit stone wall, which really highlights Jackson's chest-dominating General Beard.

Dates can seclude themselves in an intimate room whose wall-to-wall mirror facilitates the two of you marveling at how good-looking you both are; foodie groups can hit a draped-off chef's room with a panoramic window into the kitchen and six drop-down projection screens; and everyone else can hang in an airy lounge featuring a beige padded-leather bar that juts out like an arrow, and segregated from those daters by a chain-mail screen -- which oddly doesn't read "my cousin refused to send this letter to 10 friends and he was hit by a truck".
