Patton, a multi-national organization that designs, develops, and manufactures electronic communications equipment for network access, connectivity, voice-over-IP, triple play and video surveillance, has signed Sistems Enterprise Communications (SEN), the Siemens Enterprise Communications Distributor and Certified Preferred Partner for Central America and the Caribbean, as a value-added distributor and systems integrator to deliver converged-IP and legacy communications solutions in the region.



Officials at Patton SmartNode and 3CX say they have teamed up to help small- to medium-enterprises realize the cost-savings and improved inter-office communications of VoIP technology.



NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com) has announced that the UCaaS (Unified Communications as a Service) Plan will be included in its Arcstar Unified Communications Services. With the inclusion of the UCaaS plan, Arcstar's Global IP-VPN customers will be provided with multiple communication capabilities on a flexible cloud-basis. Furthermore, the company will also be broadening its SIP Trunking Plan, initially introduced in Singapore this May, across 15 countries with further expansions planned across an additional 30 countries by March.



NETGEAR, Inc. has announced that its N600 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router - Premium Edition (WNDR3800) has been made available for customers across the globe. The company's latest offering is the first of its kind and has been designed to provide connectivity which was previously restricted to only the most expensive wireless routers. The router has been enabled to support private cloud file sharing through NETGEAR's new ReadySHARE Cloud service.



Dell'Oro Group, a source for market information on the networking and telecommunications industries, has indicated in a newly published report that the global Service Provider Router market has experienced a sharp growth rate in Q211. The report, which places the growth rate at 26% in the second quarter, found that increasing demands in the North American and Asia Pacific regions has been the driving force. Furthermore, the report indicates that mobile backhaul projects undertaken in the United States and fiber optic broadband projects in China were additional supplements to the spurt in growth rate.
