As Erin Zlomek reports, students in 46 states who want to attend programs that are unavailable in their home states can attend out-of-state programs at in-state prices-a potentially huge savings. Not surprisingly, the number of students seeking the discounts is rising dramatically. Even though it costs schools to offer the discount, they gain something too, namely a broader, more diverse student base. Not a bad deal all around.
