Update from Bagram, Afghanistan

Honor our Veterans with the USO's exciting new campaign  View Mobile Version Dear USO Supporter -- I just wanted to follow up on General Myers' note from Tuesday. Here in Afghanistan, the USO team is working hard to get our new center for our troops up and running. I just got back from the 8,500 square foot facility and right now, it's an empty shell. But, with your help, we can fill it with the sights and sounds of troops enjoying a much-needed and well-earned break from the action. Whether it's using our Internet stations to keep in touch with friends, family and loved ones back home or grabbing some snacks from our well-stocked cafeteria, our troops here in Afghanistan really need your support right now. We can't do it without you. We have just over one week to hit our $1 million dollar goal by Veterans Day to make sure we can give the troops what they need. When we open our new center we will more than double the number of visits providing support and comfort to the more than 30,000 troops deployed to this remote area of Afghanistan.
