17 major investigative projects, 1,113 stories, more than 6,354 print, electronic and broadcast media citations and 8 national journalism awards.
We helped spur the Education Department to change rules on how colleges address sexual assault; publicized a misguided government undercover gun program that led an agency chief to resign; and raised public and congressional ire over the poor condition of K-12 school buildings on U.S. military bases.
That was 2011, now we're focused on what will we expose in 2012.
As the largest non-profit investigative newsroom in the country, we produce in-depth investigative reports and accountability features that go where mainstream media has long fallen short.
You know you can rely on us for exceptional independent journalism. But we rely on the support of individuals like you to deliver in depth investigative reporting without the influence and constraints from large commercial interests.
My best wishes for a very happy New Year to you and your loved ones.
Sincerely,
Bill Buzenberg Executive Director
