Happy New Year! (and some other stuff...)

Hey, Griff here... just wanted to take a
quick minute and wish you a joyous and
prosperous 2012!

As always happens at the end of a year,
I stopped for a while and thought about
the things I'm thankful for... and of course
the things I'd like to improve upon.

One of my big "resolutions" this year is
actually to spend more time focused on my
guitar.

I know that might sound strange coming
from me... but it probably would surprise
you how little I actually practice these days.

With all the time it takes to raise a family,
play my gigs, make lessons, and just all
the other *stuff* that goes on... actually
sitting and just playing my guitar - improving
upon what I've learned over the last 31+
years... well that tends to take a back seat.

So we're definitely going to commit to
improving this year together.

And I really want to do some things that will
serve our community of guitar players as
a whole.

I've been doing this whole "internet guitar
teaching" thing for 6 years today! Can you
believe that? I sure can't...

Of course, I still teach my private lessons as
well, but I've learned that there are some
unique challenges that you face compared
to someone sitting in a room next to me.

What's super cool, though, is that I really
feel like I'm learning to use the technology
now so that learning from me online is just
as good - if not BETTER - than actually sitting
in a room next to me.

Who ever though you'd hear that!?!?

Anyway, I'm excited for some new projects
in 2012...

And I'm excited to have you along for the
ride. Keep an eye on my emails over the
next few weeks as I'll be talking to you more
about some of these specific challenges you
face - and what we'll do to make 2012 the
best year ever!

Thank you for sharing your inbox with me
and trusting me to help you learn the guitar.

I look forward to working even more closely
with you in 2012.

Peace,
Griff
