Whilst lot's of sales keeps us on our toes, it's the super positive feedback we've received since the launch, that makes it all worth while.
With the weekend here, I wanted to share with you some answers to some of the common questions people have been asking us about the new eBook to, help you decided if it's an eBook for you.
What post processing software will you need?
This eBook is written to be as software-agnostic as possible. Neil's intention was to write something useful to users of all types of software but by necessity some of the terminology and examples may be influenced by Neil's personal choice of Adobe's Lightroom. Screen shots of examples are mostly from Lightroom, but he has striven to keep them relevant to other software choices. So whether you're a Lightroom user or prefer Photoshop, GIMP, Aperture or some other tool - what's covered in the eBook is going to be useful to you.
Can I read this eBook on my iPad
Yes. This eBook (and all of our others) is a PDF and can be read on your computer or any other PDF reading device. To read it on your iPad simply download it to your computer and then upload it to the iBooks App (or any other PDF reading app). Many of our readers have done this and enjoy our eBooks on iBooks.
Post Processing is too hard!
I hear you - I'm not the most technically minded person in the world and always was that it'd really be something that I'd 'get'. However the software available today has come along way and a guide like Neil's is all about making the things you need to know accessible. While there is a learning curve you'll be amazed how quickly you pick it up and how much of an impact even learning the basics will have on your shots.
Post Processing software is too expensive
This is another one I can relate to. Investing in a software like Lightroom isn't cheap and to make the commitment to buying it without really knowing if it'll suit your needs can feel a little risky. If you're feeling that why not participate in Adobe's free trial of their soon to be released Lightroom 4 which gives you free access to it until the end of March. Full details of that
here. Alternatively you might like to try the free post processing tool - GIMP which many of our readers use and love. It's completely free and available

But isn't Post Processing about making FAKE images?
There's always been debate about the place of post processing and this may not be the time to get into it - except to say that Neil's approach in this eBook is not to Manipulate photos into something that they're not. This eBook is about helping you to process your images to showcase them as the best that they can be.
