As the new trading week gets underway we find the metals trading flat to a shade weaker.....We closed out last Friday on a wave of positive sentiment, but that has since waned after China surprisingly announced its largest trade deficit in 12 years....Global traders were quick to put buy tickets back into their pockets as they assess the meaning.....In metals trading we find Silver down 28 cents at $33.92.....Gold slipped $6.00 to $1704.00.....Palladium is changing hands at $704.00 down $6.00.....Platinum is $1681.00 also down $6.00 per ounce....
In other European markets we find the Euro currency trading unchanged at $1.3111....Crude Oil is down $1.05 per barrel at $106.35.....Euro-zone stocks are flat to down .2%.....Asian issues ended their trading day flat to down .3%.....
Turning to the U.S. markets; the Dow looks about 13 point lower at the open with traders a bit spooked in the wake of China's sudden surge in imports....
In other news; French president Nicolas Sarkozy yesterday threatened to wreck the European free travel zone unless there is a new pact to cut down on illegal immigration....So; it's not just the U.S.......
