| Literal Iron Man Is Quite Im-Press-ive Posted: 12 Mar 2012 03:32 AM PDT This version of Iron Man has a bright future–working as an advertising mascot for a local chain of drycleaners. Taking a literal look at comic book legend Iron Man, this cosplayer is bringing the funny to one of the most popular members of the Avengers while looking quite domestic. But don’t ask him to press your trousers for you, or you’ll be in for a steam blast to the face and third degree burns. That suit must weigh a ton! Link –via ComicsAlliance |
| The Avengers Take A Trip To Pooh Corner Posted: 12 Mar 2012 03:25 AM PDT Illustrator Charles Paul Wilson III decided to make the Avengers look a bit softer and fluffier, so he took them down to the 100 Aker Wood and showed the group how to channel their inner Pooh Bear. Charles’ illustrations are heroically adorable, and it’s great fun to see these superfolks in a kinder, gentler light. Oh, and the old school kids book look ain’t bad either. | Posted: 12 Mar 2012 01:59 AM PDT Unfortunately, there’s no video of this, but this series of pictures showing a bird dousing itself in a chocolate fountain is almost as good. If you know where this picture comes from, let me know so I can add proper credits. Via BuzzFeed |
| That Lipgloss Has Some Hop to It Posted: 12 Mar 2012 01:55 AM PDT It might not get you drunk, but if you love the taste of Sierra Nevada beer, then perhaps you’ll love it mixed with mint and smeared all over your lips. Although, you might not want to wear it while driving lest you get pulled over and have a cop think he smells booze on you. Link Via Laughing Squid |

| Posted: 12 Mar 2012 01:42 AM PDT Notice anything strange about the artwork above? How about the fact that it’s made out of staples? The creation is made by Paris-based artist Baptiste Debombourg. His most recent mural is made up of 450,000 staples. Link Via Laughing Squid |

| Posted: 12 Mar 2012 01:13 AM PDT Dutch designer Joep Verhoeven has added an artistic twist to the typical chain link fence, while retaining its durability and function. The company is called Lace Fence, and the fences they create have a delicate and graceful style that will add some flavor to your neighborhood without compromising your safety, all custom made to order by the square meter. They’re designed with a 2d drawing program, so no pattern is too intricate or shape too organic for this lace inspired barricade, and customers love the fact that their custom fence creation is truly unique. You can see more designs at the link below, they’re changing the way we think about chain link fencing. |
| Opossum Wearing A Sweater Shreds On A Snowboard Posted: 11 Mar 2012 11:30 PM PDT Shaun White had better watch out for Ratatouille the snowboarding opossum, because if this little guy learns how to grind the halfpipe or drop a backflip 360 off a ramp his power of adorableness coupled with his snow shredding skills will make him the new king of winter sports. –via The Daily What |

| Red Panda Smacks Down A Pumpkin Posted: 11 Mar 2012 11:12 PM PDT The spunky red panda in this video doesn’t tolerate any pumpkins messing around in his neck of the woods, and he’s more than happy to demonstrate his kung fu skills as he teaches this particular pumpkin some manners. We already know how cute red pandas can be, now this guy demonstrates that they’re also tough as nails. |
| Back to the Future II Quadrocoptor Posted: 11 Mar 2012 03:33 PM PDT (Video Link) YouTube user native118′s amazing custom quadrocopter looks exactly like Doc Brown’s DeLorean DMC-12. It even has a Mr. Fusion machine! Presumably this is a fully functional time machine, and native118 has simply chosen not to highlight that ability. -via Technabob |

| Grave Matters: The Body-Snatchers Unearthed Posted: 11 Mar 2012 06:34 AM PDT
Grave robbing led to the development of devices used to protect graves. It also led to suspicions that body-snatchers also murdered people, which wasn’t helped by the rare cases in which some did. And the stories fueled fears of being buried alive. One account survives in which a man was saved from such a fate by grave robbers! Read the story at The Chirurgeon’s Apprentice.
