Google Creative Labs has been experimenting with Java Script, HTML5, Canvas, SVG and WebGL since 2009 in what is known as the "Chrome Experiments," and now the results of Google's foray into ambitious Web interactivity can be optimized for mobile browsers. Tom Shafron, managing partner and CEO of Viewbiquity, a provider of open-source cloud-based machine-to-machine (M2M) platforms, will speak at the DevCon5: HTML5 and Mobile App Developer's Conference next week in New York City. Shafron will present "Building APIs for HTML5," discussing best-practices and lessons learned from the creation and launch of the Viewbiquity Cloud Interface (VCI) M2M connectivity platform. The cloud and HTML5 are often considered the two technologies that will usher us into the new modern age of the Internet, with greater convenience, form and functionality for all. However, these advancements can no longer be referred to in the future tense as they both enjoy wide adoption today. Developer tools and solutions provider Telerik last week unveiled the next major release of Kendo UI Complete, an HTML5, jQuery-based framework for building HTML apps. The latest version adds server-side wrappers for ASP.NET MVC, allowing it to support development for HTML5 and Javascript mobile apps and sites.
