Legal Technology Research Made Easy

Briefmine, a start-up launching today aims to make access to legal research more cost-effective. To push the boundaries of legal practice, it is one of only a handful of legal technology companies using technology. To tackle the legal tech space is but a smooth ride.


With constant push back from the target market, the challenges furthermore include old-fashioned regulations which make legal industry ripe for disruption. Untapped by Silicon Valley’s venture capital firms and angel investors, though notoriously underfunded, it’s a huge market opportunity.


In the legal industry, one of the recent shifts that has taken place is that most lawyers don’t work at stuffy, corporate practices. Today in the United States there are approximately three-quarters of 1.2 million lawyers work at small firms. In order to afford costly legal research tools like Lexus Nexus and WestLaw, these lawyers have to struggle quite hard. Hence, this is an opportunity for a simpler, cheaper alternative for legal tech entrepreneurs.
