Despite protests from neighborhood groups that apparently hate both fun and giveaways, Home Slice's Carnival O' Pizza is carrying on with their massive saucy block party, where they'll feature pie-centric midway games and raffle off prizes like Hotel St Cecilia stays and a year's worth of free pizza via contests of appetite and stamina, both fortifiable with Real Ale.

Saturday, Empire Automotive hosts a whimsical party with a Tito's/Shiner bar, plus interactive installations like a confessional (surely you did something wrong), a letterpress, and TRIP, in which Portland's Really Big Video sticks you in a Smart Car and projects a psychedelic landscape on the covered windshield, thereby turning their acronym into a double-entendre.
