When a device is as popular as the iPad - it is expected to reach 100 million shipments by the end of this year, after all - it is most likely going to have a significant effect in a number of areas in the tech world. Since it is a mobile device, it is obviously more likely to influence technologies related to mobile, such as HTML5.
In an effort to improve the mobile version of its Chrome browser for Android, and perhaps even put its features on par with the desktop version, Google recently released a new Chrome beta channel. Android devices running version 4.0 or higher can now download and install the latest beta version of Chrome.
Recently, Microsoft announced a big new lineup of features set to arrive on SkyDrive.com, which should be available very soon if they aren't already. The new features in question offer up a lot more functionality, and provide quite a bit of extra power in connection with the growing HTML5 language.
Saber Solutions, a provider of cloud-based applications, announced the release and availability of MapAnything Version 5.0 on Salesforce.com's AppExchange.
