KPIT Cummins is an IT consulting and product engineering firm that specializes in several different industries including automotive. The company’s unique Apps-to-Go app deployment framework is designed for in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) systems, which allow users to update their vehicle’s IVI system via smartphone.


The concept for Apps-to-Go is to provide a tool for automobile manufacturers and other Tier 1 service and product providers a way in which they can securely communicate with their as well as provide them with the information they need. This information can be controlled through mobile devices and head units. The system can be integrated through a Linux IVI platform as well as Android (News - Alert) and iOS mobile operating systems.
