Genomic Technologies and Biomaterials for Understanding Disease
June 23-24, 2014

Co-located at 2014 BIO International Convention,
San Diego Convention Center, San Diego, CA, USA
Register
The past decade has seen tremendous progress in genome technologies and our ability to detect and interpret complex biological processes and molecular basis of diseases. Meanwhile, the advances in stem cell reprogramming, tissue engineering, and genome editing make it possible to manipulate cells, and human and model genomes with unprecedented precision and efficiency. In turn, at the forefront of materials-based therapy is a personalized approach to treatment by targeted delivery and optimizing drug-release profiles, which requires an informed understanding of the biological basis of disease.

The conference will discuss how advances in biomaterial sciences are being harnessed in the context of genomics and cell based technologies to deepen our understanding of the biology and revolutionize translational medicine. Topics will include advances in sequencing, gene editing and therapy, single cell analysis, stem cell and tissue engineering.
