Dear Friend,

For those of you who read CAP's reports and attend our events regularly, you know what our amazing staff members and fellows accomplish in the space of a year. You likely know that, despite the fact that we're commonly called a "think tank," our work goes way beyond that.

If you know CAP and believe in what we do, please take this opportunity to make your tax-deductible 2014 donation before the end of the year.

If you're less familiar with the scope of our work, let us tell you a little bit more about it.

CAP is first and foremost a house of ideas—bold, practical, progressive ideas that create lasting change. Our groundbreaking research and reporting is widely respected and often cited by academics, policymakers, and the media. Just this year, our work on the middle-class squeeze, LGBT rights, international relations, education policy, immigration, and much more, has framed policy conversations and shaped laws throughout the country.

To generate ideas that reflect many points of view, we also have to be a center of lively dialogue. Our extensive 2014 program of events—more than 100 of them—brought together great minds to meet great challenges. In June, we worked with the White House to put on one of the most important events of the year: the White House Summit on Working Families. In November, our annual policy conference brought together an impressive slate of speakers—including Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ), and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio (D)—for a day-long discussion of progressive policy solutions.

A truly effective organization is also a leader of leaders that brings together coalitions to amplify information among different communities. This year, in addition to CAP's many partnerships and projects, our Generation Progress project spearheaded It's On Us, an inspiring and innovative campaign to combat campus sexual assault.

Every year, we look back proudly on all we've accomplished... and then we look forward to everything we still have left to do. That's where you come in.

Make a donation now to be a part of our accomplishments in 2015.

Thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Center for American Progress
