Dear Indiana,

Verizon Wireless hasn't competed on price as much as some competitors because it believes its network is superior enough to command a premium. Now there is third-party data to back up this strategy. RootMetrics released its latest exhaustive report on the U.S. wireless market, and Verizon came out on top in nearly every metric. At the bottom of the list is T-Mobile, which performs well in metro areas, but often leaves customers hanging as they roam about the country. Check out the details in the News Center.

What's the buzz in CEM? Customer self-care portals have proven to have a positive impact on the customer experience, prompting movement by both service providers and vendors. This week, BT rolled out its My BT app to enable customers to easily manage their accounts. On the vendor side, Panamax just updated its iMax product with a self-care portal for prepaid customers.

Ericsson's cloud business got a big vote of confidence from 451 Research this week. The analyst firm singled out Ericsson as "many years ahead of the cloud crowd," noting that Ericsson is actually doing things that everyone else is just talking about. Ericsson also broke ground with Swisscom and Qualcomm this week with FDD/TDD LTE carrier aggregation implemented in a commercial network.

Best,
