| Lewis -- In two days, the government is going to shut down unless Congress does their job and funds the government. We're here because extreme voices in Congress are pushing a radical agenda over what's best for the country. This is ridiculous -- and it's going to take folks like us calling them out to end this silly season and get back to the business of governing. Say you'll help push back -- add your name to call for an end to this. Government shutdowns are serious business. Millions of people, including veterans, seniors, and kids in Head Start programs, depend on these critical services. And they keep hundreds of thousands of Americans away from work. Shutdowns also waste time -- time that should be spent working on important issues that Congress hasn't addressed, like raising the minimum wage. Instead, extreme voices are again deciding the agenda for Congress, continuing the cycle of governing by crisis. The last Congress-forced 16-day shutdown cost our economy $24 billion. This has to stop -- and OFA supporters aren't going to let up until it does.
