Not-a-Banana Cookie

Metric Ingredient Imperial 175 ml margarine, softened 3/4 cup 375 ml sugar 1 1/2 cup 2 eggs, beaten 2 10 ml vanilla 2 tsp 750 ml all-purpose flour 3 cup 2 ml salt 1/2 tsp 30 ml baking powder 2 tbsp 6 ml baking soda 1 1/4 tsp 2 ml cinnamon 1/2 tsp 2 ml cloves 1/2 tsp 2 ml ginger 1/2 tsp 2 ml allspice 1/2 tsp 750 ml raw banana squash, grated 3 cup 250 ml wheat germ 1 cup 250 ml raisins 1 cup 125 ml walnuts, choped 1/2 cup

In a large bowl; blend margarine and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. In a medium bowl; mix flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda and spices. Gradually blend dry ingredients into egg mixture. Fold in squash, wheat germ, raisins and nuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake in preheated 350 F (180 C) oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Serves 12
