Hey Indiana Jones!
As we inch closer to the start of our school year, I can feel the tensions rising.
In San Antonio, our schools have already announced a distance learning start...that I predict will get extended deep into the first semester.
My husband and I both work from home and have a little flexibility in our schedules, but we will be pushed into the roles of school coordinator along with our jobs. (Read about how I don't plan to take on the role of teacher here.)
I did the first thing that I know to do when things start getting tense and uneasy...
I made a plan.
And a schedule.
And got meals into the freezer.
Because I want and need to focus on what I can control, as we move into this new phase of pandemic life.
I can't control what the virus does, or what our local leaders decide.
I can control my reaction to it all.
I can control the example that I am to my boys.
And I can control my actions that will help set us all up for success.
Great talk, Erin. But how?
I explain further on the blog.
I hope you'll take a minute to read it and consider the tools and resources we have available to help you through this stressful back to school transition.
