Question for you Indiana Jones...
Where are you on the 'pandemic spectrum' with your family and your kids? Are they in school on campus? Are you still stuck at home dealing with18 alarms throughout the day for each zoom call?!

I FEEL YOU.
We just received our first quarter grades and I didn't even bother showing the boys - and they haven't asked. And when they do, I'll just say they get an ASTERISK *** or three next to their Q1/S1 grades.
Because really, truly, they don't matter.
This season is about survival, coping, introspection...and when you're ready...it's about making the most of what we have.
It's about pivoting and shifting and figuring out how to fill in the gaps of the missed activities and the overload of online learning.
My battle has been how to keep my 4 boys occupied/engaged/not fighting with each other during ALL.THE.TIME.WE.SPEND.AT.HOME.
And I feel that the lockdowns and restrictions will be returning as the virus continues to surge.
How about an activity and lesson that will.....
- teach your kid kitchen literacy, the language of cooking, and important cooking hacks
- keep them busy for a good chunk of time, doing a FUN activity while also learning and problem solving
- equip and empower them to make a meal from start to finish!
READ THAT LAST ONE AGAIN...that means you don't have to make dinner. You might need to supervise, but you get to let your kiddo shine by cooking for your family.
