Schmeckenfest is a true community event. Festivities include tastings of over 20 different types of wassail made by various business owners and community leaders. The wassail competition brings the allure of the coveted honor of being name the Schmeckenmeister. It all begins with the lighting of the County Christmas tree on the Courthouse lawn. Festivities also include music, delicious treats sold by local non-profit organizations, a scavenger hunt, window decorating contest, and of course, voting for your favorite leaded and unleaded wassail!
