Man Follows Contracted Hours, Team Follows Suit, Management Caves Man, oh, man, it sounds like this particular management team was terribly detached and clueless. They continued to send in uniformed representatives, as their company was proactively losing money, and wasted a whole lot of time when they could've actually resolved the issue. All that it took to set the whole thing in motion was one employee strictly following their contracted hours.

We're just glad that it all worked out, and that this tech support employee got a well deserved bonus when it was all said and done.

This particular Karen was enforcing the rules while she wasn't abiding by the most important ones herself. This ultimately manifests in Karen's self destruction. Sounds like she lost everything. He went so far as to employ the tactic of visual misdirection, so that he could follow through with licking his plate clean. Suffice to say, this was met with strong disapproval by his girlfriend.
